Free AI voice tutors · no card required

Prep that talks back.

Testera is free practice with AI voice tutors. Talk in Irish, French, Japanese and nine more languages, or practise IELTS-style speaking with an AI examiner.

Most of us have a language we gave up on because there was nobody to practise with. Here there is.

  1. Pick a tutor, starting with Niamh in Connacht Irish.
  2. Press Start talking and say hello. Your browser asks for the microphone.
  3. Get gentle corrections, a practice level and your own flashcards.

Exampleafter you talk

You said

Inné, téim go dtí an siopa.

Better

Inné, chuaigh mé go dtí an siopa.

Inné means yesterday, so the verb goes into the past.

Exam-style pathways

Each one shows a practice score estimate as you go: a guide, not an exam result.

All questions are AI-generated original content, not copied from official exams. Testera is for practice, not official scoring or academic advice.

Missing an exam?

Tell us which one. The exams people ask for most move up our list.

On your desk too: snap a problem, your review schedule and a study planner. See everything Testera does, with answers to common questions.

Meet Tera, your study coach

Whatever you practise, Tera works the same three ways.

Practise actively

Speak, answer, code and solve. You learn by doing, out loud or on the page.

Understand mistakes

Explanations after answers, corrections after conversations and band-style feedback on speaking and writing, so you see why, not just what.

Remember and improve

Questions adapt to your level. What you miss comes back on a review schedule that adapts to your answers (SM-2, the method behind Anki), and a study planner maps out your weeks.

the daily allowance

What's free every day

With a free account, each day

  • 3 voice tutor conversations, up to ten minutes each
  • 5 IELTS-style speaking sessions
  • 10 exam-style practice questions
  • 50 messages with Tera (one with a photo counts as two)
  • 2 scored essays
  • 3 snaps of a problem

The Digital Skills Lab, the Word Lab and your flashcard reviews have no daily count.

Without an account you get one tutor conversation a day on each device. Everyone on one network shares five speaking sessions, ten messages with Tera, one scored essay and one snap a day.

Counts reset at midnight UTC. On a very busy day a free feature can run out across Testera sooner; it comes back the next day.

Patrons get 10 conversations, 20 speaking sessions, 200 messages with Tera, 30 scored essays and 50 snaps a day, with no daily count on practice questions, and what they pay keeps all this free. How Patron works
