Standard Hindi in Devanagari. Romanisation follows ISO 15919 with the silent inherent a dropped as spoken, except that च is written ch and छ chh, as most learners expect (ś sounds like sh, and ṁ marks a nasal vowel); stress is not marked. Written for Testera; the example sentences are original. On 18 October 2026 every headword was looked up in English Wiktionary: 63 of 66 have an entry of their own in Hindi, and for 3 phrases without one every word has an entry. The gender of every noun (41 of 41) agrees with Wiktionary. Words, glosses and example sentences have not yet been reviewed by a native speaker. Spotted something to fix? Tell us.
